Trash2Treasure Xchange Program

Trash2Treasure Xchange Program

Project Overview

The COVID-19 Disaster Response Program W71CT provided a short-term feeding scheme to help our most vulnerable neighbours during the COVID-19 Lockdown. The Program was effective in identifying and supporting households most at risk of starvation due to lack of income but it wasn't a long-term solution and put beneficiaries at-risk of falling into the Cycle of Dependency.

For the past few years, we've been developing a way of working together that builds trust between partners and enables us to grow sustainable and resilient communities. We're pleased to announce our latest multi-partner program - Trash2Treasure. This Xchange Program offers a long term, sustainable solution for many social, environmental and economic issues our communities are facing. It provides amazing growth opportunities for marginalized households and aspiring role models, support for vulnerable children and inspiration for the whole Ward-community at large.

Our Trash2Treasure Xchange Program effectively promotes recycling and rewards beneficiary partners who practice recycling.

Currently, we are supporting 59 households in Westlake. Most of them were our beneficiaries on our COVID-19 Disaster Response Partnership Program, and those who stayed with us have made a commitment to improving their situation and their environment.
The Program empowers them through:
* 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
* 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝
* 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

to improve their lives and transform their communities for the better.
